Summit Christian Academy trounced by Grace Academy

The Summit Christian Academy Eagles football team (Cedar Park, TX), was crushed 91-46 in Friday's non-league bout with the visiting Grace Academy (Georgetown, TX)
The Griffin defense that had been holding opponents to under 200 yards in offense was exposed onFriday night as they gave up 363 yards of total offense to the Summit Eagles. It would take 552 yards of offense and 12 TDs to finally put the Eagles away.
The Griffin offense was led by Hunter Maxwell's 479 yards rushing and 10 TDs as Grace scored on all posessions except for a single turnover.
The Grace defense could not stop the Eagle run or pass for most of the game but was able to manage a few stops and captialize on two Summit turnoevers. Isaiah Gonzales led the team with 7 tackles and one interception.
"We could not stop the run tonight," stated Coach Golemon. "Teams that can stay balanced with their run/pass are going to put up points. "We survived but our future opponents now have a blueprint which we need to eradicate in the coming weeks."
With the win, Grace Academy advances its record to 4-2 on the season. The travel to CenTex HomeSchool (Temple, TX) to encounter the Chargers in a non-league bout on Friday, October 11. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 1-4. CenTex HomeSchool lost 50-22 in their recent league bout against Williamson County HomeSchool (Austin, TX)
