Valor South Austin trounced by Grace Academy

The Valor South Austin Falcons football team (Austin, TX), was crushed 54-6 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Grace Academy (Georgetown, TX)

Grace Academy was only one year removed from an 18 point loss to the Falcons. The Griffins took advantage of five Valor turnovers (three fumble recoveries and two interceptions). the offense was led by Hunter Maxwell who had 167 yards on 11 carries along with 4 TDs.

Defensively, it was Cole Campbell that led team in tackles while recovering one Falcon fumble. Maxwell and Hoyt both had interceptions while Samual Moore and Ethan Yassa each recovered a turnover.

"It is difficult to win games when you have that many turnovers," stated Coach Golemon. "We executed much better than last year and captitalized on every one which was good to see from our guys."

With the win, Grace Academy advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The travel to NYOS Charter (Austin, TX) to encounter the Jaguars in a TAIAO-league bout on Friday, September 13. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 0-2. NYOS Charter lost 60-34 in their recent league bout against Williamson County HomeSchool (Austin, TX)
